Key features:

Transformational reforms in school and higher education system.

Universalization of education from preschool to secondary by 2030.

NEP 2020 bring back 2 crore children to mainstream of learning.
10 + 2 curriculum system is replaced by 5 + 3 + 3 + 4.
Vocational education starts from class 6.
Mother tongue will be the compulsory language to the students upto grade 5.
NEP 2020 ensures that no child losses any opportunity to learn or study new things.
Teachers will be recruited through robust, merit based promotions only allowed.
State School Independent Authority will be created and will be working in transparent to recruit teachers.
Gross Enrollment Ratio will be increasing from 26.3 % to 50% .
3.5 crore new seats will be created for higher education.
Main qualification for teaching is 4 years integrated b.Ed is compulsory.
NEP 2020 increases open and distance learning it also enhances online education and digital education.
This policy aims to improve 100% youth and adult literacy.
Board exams will be conducted twice in a year to relieve students from mind depression.

To increase the level of education quality, board exams will be conducted for class 3, 5, 8, 10 and 12.

This policy creates common entrance exams for higher education in all over India.
Tech basic education starts from class 6.
